Pink Princess {Review} & {Giveaway} Ends 5/25

I recently had the great pleasure to recieve an item to review from Pink Princess. Pink Princess is an online superstore of childrens formal clothing. Pink Princess has everything from first communion dresses, to flower girls dresses, to christening gowns, to boys formal wear, and much much more! The best part about it is that it's all at an affordable price!

If I had a girl, I would definitly buy some of their Tutus & Pettiskirts! Their site mainly focuses on items for girls, but they do have also a cute selection for boys too.

The workmanship of this outfit is amazing, right down to every little detail. The ordering process from Pink Princess is flawless, and they have really quick shipping! The UPS man showed up at our door less than a week after ordering! That is amazingly fast!

This is what we ordered:

We recieved the Red Plaid Vest w/ Black Pants in size 2T. We got it in a 2T because Matthew may only be 15 months old, but he is the size of a 2 year old. The shirt and vest fit perfectly, and the pants fit around his waist perfectly too, and the length was a little bit long, but we just folded the bottoms of the pants. He looks like such a little man in this outfit, and so grown up! This outfit is sooo adorable!

This outfit is for our 5 generations photo that will be happening Memorial Day weekend. Memorial Day weekend we will be celebrating my Great Grandmothers 94th Birthday! This is the perfect outfit for him. He is so cute in this! Even the outfit without the vest is perfect too, it reminds me of a business man!

Towards the end of the "photoshoot" ( I guess you could call it that! LOL, I am camera happy LOL) he started to get cranky because it was past naptime, and although I do have a bunch of photos on here already, there is just one more. So, Now presenting... Temper tantrum boy! (This photo was too cute not to include!)

Overall, I had a great expirence with Pink Princess. Their selection is mostly for girls (as you can tell by their name) but they also have the most adorable items for boys. They even have tux's for them! You can find most everything you need all in one place by shopping with Pink Princess.

Now, for the part you've all been waiting for!

The Tag*a*Long Review and {Giveaway} Ends March 5th

We received the tag*a*long to review last week. It couldn't have come at a better time. We took my 4 year old son, Jacob to the aquarium last weekend, and this was a great accessory to have.

We Parked at my cousins house in East Boston, and had planned to take the Train in to the Aquarium, however the train was not running inbound. Jacob was a little upset about it, but got excited when we got on the bus to take that to Government center. We used this on the side of the stroller while walking to/from the bus, and Jacob LOVED to hold on to it. It made him feel independant while walking because he wasn't holding mommy's hand, (although I was walking next to him) and he held on to it the whole time!

I showed him how to use it before we left, and he thought it was great. My baby cousin Andrew was in the stroller, Matthew had a cold, and Daddy had a cold so they stayed home, and our cousin Carla and her son went with us. Andrew wanted to hold on to it too even though he was in the stroller, (LOL).

I love the idea and the simpleness of the Tag*a*long, and Jacob loved using it. It folds to the side of the stroller while not in use (like when we were on the bus.) This is a great alternative to a child harness (or leash as my husband calls it.)

Mandatory Entry: (You MUST be a GFC Follower to win!) Visit Tag*a*long on Facebook and thank them for this giveaway and include a link back here. (example Thanks for the Giveaway at The Boys Mama! (insert Link here) and post) you will be required to like them first.

ChunkyMonkeyBumz TuTu {+Review+}

ChunkyMonkeyBumz is my new Etsy Store (YAY!), and I make a variety of children's things, and crafting things. I have some scrapbooking layouts, and some reusable wipe, and my favorite, the TuTu's!

My Tutus have an elastic waist, that is either 3/4 in or 1 in thick, with D rings to keep it together. The elastic to to ensure that the tutu is not too tight on your little one, and so it is adjustable so it grows with them! It is also made so the extra elastic can be hidden in the tutu so it's not noticeable. This all makes it better than the one size tutu's. I would have to say that these tutu's are PERFECT for 12 months-8 years.

D Rings and Elastic
The Tulle that these are made with are longer for better twirling, and the colors are coordinated perfectly. I can also make custom tutu's. I love all things for little girls, and hope someday to have a girl of my own.

I have several different "stock" styles that I have, and are ready to be shipped.

Styles:

Rockstar
Ocean
Princess
Go Green- Rainforest

Now, This is my adorable cousin Carly modeling my tutu's! She is in dance, and absolutely Loves these!

She is modeling the Princess Tutu in the First Photo and the Ocean Tutu in the 2nd Photo!

Please look at our Etsy Store: ChunkyMonkeyBumz for Affordable, durable Tutus!

Dr Bloom Chewable Jewels *Review*

I recently had the chance to try Dr. Bloom's Chewable Jewels. I chose to review the amber twilight set which consisted of the round necklace and the bangle bracelet.

Photobucket

When I received them in the mail they were prettier than the photo gave it credit for. These were simply amazing, and their bright but dark color made them more intriguing to Matthew.

Matthew is a baby that puts everything in his mouth, and when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING! That is why i thought that the teething necklaces would be a good thing for him. Matthew is always teething, as you can see from his bright red rosey cheeks in the photo below.

Photobucket

Some people have an opinion that the teething necklaces are gross and that people should not let their children chew on them, they have specifically been called "unsanitary" by one blogger. However, I find that these are actually easy to clean and you can clean them frequent enough to be able to keep them sanitary.

I think that these are a great idea, and i know that some children have actually started chewing on regular jewelry because their mother let's them chew on these, however this has NOT been the case with Matthew. He only chews on his special teething necklaces.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Dr. Bloom's chewable Jewels has to be the best one out there for children, because even the cord is on is chewable, but if your little one bites actually through things, than I would suggest moving it to a different cord or string.

Photobucket

Matthew loves the bracelet in particular because I will let him hold it to chew on it, and with the necklace I won't. Right now at this exact moment I think that Matthew has actually hidden the bracelet under the couch just so he can have it whenever he wants!

Pretty soon, you will have a chance to win a Dr. Bloom's Chewable Jewels set of your very own in the color of your choice consisting of the bangle bracelet and the necklace!
Head on over to Dr. Bloom's Facebook and "like" them and theres your extra entries done! well some of them atleast!

Want to order before the holidays? Enjoy 15% off your order from Dr. Bloom's using coupon code "2010J"

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Grovia All In One Cloth Diaper Review and *Giveaway*

Have you ever heard of the Cloth Diaper Store, Thanks Mama? If you have, great! If not, well you will now! Thanks Mama is an online cloth diaper retailer with large selections of the great modern cloth! As I am sure you know if you have been a follower of mine for a while, I guest blog once a month for them on the Thanks Mama Blog.

Thank you to Thanks Mama for providing me with a Grovia All in One Cloth Diaper for this review!

Matthew is an active, 9 ½ month old boy. He crawls, rolls, stands, sits, and even falls, just like any other baby. I wanted to review the Grovia AIO because, well, I have read some great reviews!

Arrived

My Thoughts
(The Review)

I had the option of color and I chose Ice, it’s a more boyish color. One thing that I do not like is that currently, the Grovia AIO only comes in 3 colors, one boyish, one girlish, and one neutral. However, their colors are different from any other cloth diaper company around.

Folds up small

The material on this diaper is super soft and non-irritating to my son’s skin. You know how sometimes, depending on the brand of diaper, it will leave the red mark from the elastic being too tight? Well, we didn’t have a problem with that while he was wearing it.

Good Fit

The side tabs that the front snaps on to, is also a lot stretchier than other diapers, which is great for his crawling. I am proud to say that we had NO leaks when using this Grovia AIO. The snaps also hold up strong and stay snapped, until you unsnap them. Matthew could not pull these snaps apart. Trust me, I let him try to!

The AIO piece is sewn directly in, but there is(see the green arrow in the Picture below)an additional snap in soaker for extra absorbency. Since he is a heavy wetter at night, we could never use this as an overnight diaper. I would not recommend this to a friend who has a heavy wetter for night time use. But daytime, when there is less time between changes it works great for us.

Snap in soaker

The Grovia AIO is a OS which means its rise is for an “average” baby. So, on Matthew it seems a little short, but it still works awesome.

Chunky Legs

The side snapping is also kind of awkward, especially if your baby rolls or tries to roll over during changes. You need two hands to snap the snaps, which prevents you from holding the baby to keep him/her from rolling.

Photobucket

So, after reading my thoughts, I will leave the decision up to you. Do you want a Grovia All-in-one diaper for your baby? Do you want a Grovia Diaper for a Mother to be? Do you just want a Grovia Diaper?

Crawling

Or, Will you just crawl away???

Well, You could buy it here from the Thanks Mama Store for $21.95

OR

Thanks Mama has generously offered one of my readers the chance to have a Grovia All in one in a color of their choice of their own!

Tommee Tippee Review and *Giveaway*

I had the great Pleasure of trying out a few things from Tommee Tippee:
  1. Explora Mat
  2. 9oz Bottle
  3. 2 Pacifiers

TommeeTippee

The Pacifiers:

I put both pacifiers on the high chair tray, and let Matthew choose which one he wanted. (Watch this Video it's cute!)

First it was the green one, then the blue one,and then Eventually he picked the green one. This was new for him since he for some reason likes the latex binkeys.

TommeeTippee

But after a few minutes, he finally thought 'Hey, this is great!' and now I can't get him to let it go.
It is designed better than the latex binkeys, because it is NOT shaped like a thumb!

The Bottle:

The Bottle is great! I Love that it is a 9oz Bottle.

TommeeTippee

Matthew was a ¾ formula, ¼ breastfed baby. With the amount he eats, I was unable to keep up.
Their bottle was great for the formula time because it truly is "closer to nature." The nipple is made to resemble the shape of the nipple on the breast.
It also has curves that his little hands can hold it well. (When he is not being Lazy, and wanting Mama to hold it that is!)

TommeeTippee

Explora Mat:

This is the Explora Mat that was sent.

Photobucket

I love the bright color, although I am a little nervous that Matthew will too (Jacob's Favorite Color is Green, so I think Matthews is too!)That being said, he'll try to get it off the tray.
PLUS THIS ONE MATCHES THE HIGHCHAIR! J

Photobucket

We haven't tried it yet because he still hasn't gotten the concept that the spoon goes in the bowl to get the food. He just thinks it appears there!
But, this is how it works…I tried it just for the purpose of reviewing it. I will really try it later with the baby.

It has suction on the bottom so you can keep it on the tray (or what surface you use)

Photobucket

It has suction so it will keep the bowl down.
You can pull on the bowl and it won't come off.

Photobucket

But, when you are ready to take it off, you just pull the tab at the back, and it releases the suction!

Photobucket

Buy it:

You can buy the Tommee Tippee Pacifiers at your local Babies R Us for $5.99. You could buy one Tommee Tippee Bottle at your local Babies R Us for $9.99. You can buy the explora mat at Babies R Us for $6.99

Ella's Kitchen Review & *Giveaway*!!

I had the extreme pleasure of being in contact with a wonderful woman named Erika over at Ella’s Kitchen.

About Ella’s Kitchen:

Paul Lindley started Ella's Kitchen because he passionately believed that Ella, along with her generation, should have the opportunity to eat better food and also to discover that healthy food can be fun, tasty and cool. They think it's important to always approach things from a child's point of view. So, they’ve taken simple, natural ingredients that ooze goodness and created foods, and packaging, that should really connect with kids - with flavors, colors, textures and even names that will appeal to all of their senses.

The Review!

They sent me Peaches & Bananas, Strawberries & Apples, Carrots Apples & Parsnips, Broccoli Pears & Peas, Apples & Bananas, Sweet Potatoes Pumpkin Apples & Blueberries, The Red one, and The Yellow one.

Ellas Review

I love the baby food fruits; I’m not going to lie, and most of the time, barring the complete gross lookingness of the baby food, I try it before he does.

First we tried Sweet Potatoes, Pumpkin, Apples & Blueberries:

Ellas Review
He wasn’t sure what to think…
Ellas Review
But he soon, didn’t want the spoon to stop going to his mouth! In the end he found it delicious!
Then we tried “The Yellow One” for dessert. It was Smoothie Fruit with bananas, mangoes, apricots, and apples. (I tried this one- I wish they were portioned bigger for “mom & me desserts! It was that yummy!)
Photobucket
Matthew thought it was yummy too!
