Now, at the end there were some raffles that included some longies, and some diapers, and a Boba Carrier. after everything was all said and done, Erin who organized the whole thing was approached by one of her friends. She asked abotu the Boba carrier that had not be raffled off yet. Erin reached into the bag and pulled out and read off a number...
Not just ANY number, but MY number...
As I started to walk over to approach her, her friend looked at her and said "Oh, it's not me" and Erin asked her if she had won anything, and Erins friend said "NO" then Erin looked at her and said "Just take it then."
I WAS APPAULED! I WAS SHOCKED! I DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO SAY!
Erin gave away MY prize to her friend because her friend didnt win anything.
I went over to Erin and I said "You just pulled the numbers for the carrier?" Erin said "yeah, and She won" pointing over to her friend. then turned around and started talking to someone else and ignored me when I tried to tell her that I heard her call my raffle ticket number!
I didnt want to make a scene around 50+ people so I just left. But it is very upsetting to me that Erin is supposed to be a professional here, and was supposed to do things right, instead my prize got given to her friend because I am assuming that she felt bad that her friend didnt win...Besides the fact that it's her friend, does it make her special? There were a bunch of people there who didnt win anything!
So, Sloob, I AM VERY UPSET THAT YOU WERE UNPROFESSIONAL WITH YOUR RAFFLE TODAY! YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FAIR!

I observed a similar scenario at my local chapter. The whole event was disorganized and unfulfilling unfortunately. We were forced to toss a diaper for more than 15 minutes pegging some babies in the face. Sales weren't set up. Mothers let their children litter everywhere. Raffle tickets weren't even shuffled before drawing.
By the looks of your picture there were too many people in one room to satisfy the occupancy limit. How squished!
LAME-O!!! Sorry mama!!
Oh! I would have been so upset! Now Im glad I've avoided SBish lol.
Yikes! Glad I went into Somerville...
OK. That just makes me super mad. That is not right. I wish I knew what her blog or email was so I could tell her what I think. Reminds me of the blogger at christmas time that had a ga-zillion give-a-ways, and lo and behold, random.org awarded a third of the prizes to her friend. Yeah, I hope that sponsors pull their stuff from rats like her. Sorry, I'm just mad.
